Sacred Valley, Peru: A Journey into Shamanism with an Optional Salkantay Trek Adventure

May 25-June 4th (Journey to Sacred Valley- 11 days)

June 4th- 8th ( Optional 4-day Salkantay Hike- 15 days total)

We invite you to embark on a transformative pilgrimage to the Sacred Valley, with an option to hike the Salkantay trail in the final days. This journey is for those seeking deep spiritual exploration and personal transformation. Far from a typical tour, we will form a close-knit Ayllu (community) for a life-changing expedition into the heart of the Andes. You'll be guided by Marianna and other revered local Paqos (Shamans/healers), ensuring an authentic and profound experience.

Our journey is carefully crafted to immerse you in ancient wisdom and guide you toward a renewed way of being. As we explore the rich culture and spirituality of the sacred Apus—the majestic Andes mountains—we'll reconnect with a deeper sense of wholeness. Our travels will take us through the most profound regions of Peru, where you'll experience exceptional lodging and exquisite cuisine from Cusco to Machu Picchu. You also have the option to embark on an epic trek, allowing us to continue our deep connection with the Apus as we journey through the breathtaking Andes.

In the transformational Sacred Valley, we will work with local Paqos (shamans) to release extraneous energies from our bodies and spirits, reclaiming our light and honoring our energetic interconnectedness. This trip is designed for those who wish to be immersed in local communities and contribute globally within a paradigm of love, integrity, and balance. Our journey will be at high altitude and there will be optional daily yoga and hikes.

Important spiritual ceremonies will be held at powerful sacred sites in the Andes with local shamans. Each has specific energies, geometry, and elements to enhance our awareness. It is important to understand that the places we visit are not just ancient and beautiful, but alive and healing. These mountains and lakes hold tremendous energies to help guide our way. Pacos (Shamans) and Marianna will guide us and teach us about the Andean cosmology and belief system at each location. We will be learning about the Q’ero and their healing traditions through different ceremonies. We will not ingest any medicinal herbs, but embrace "Ayni", the practice of sacred reciprocity and ultimate balance… a beautiful state of love and being. (Private Healing sessions will also be available for an extra fee).

Not only will you explore the culture and spirituality of the sacred Apus/Andes mountains, but you’ll reclaim parts of yourself on the path to becoming more whole. There is only one Sacred Valley; in this transformational place, you’ll work with local shamans to release extraneous energies from your body and spirit, returning with a new relationship to yourself, your life and the world around you.

This trip is designed for those who wish to serve their local communities and the global community within a paradigm of love, integrity, and balance; who seek improved health and well-being; and who crave transformation of body, mind, spirit, heart, and soul. This journey is for those who want a cultural and spiritual experience and to connect with like-minded souls. Who enjoy meditation and ceremonies as well as being open to a new culture. This is not a typical tourist trip.

Working with Paqos and Learning About Shamanism

During our journey, we will have the unique opportunity to work with a few special Paqos, who are esteemed traditional healers deeply rooted in Andean shamanic practices. Paqos are more than just healers; they are custodians of ancient wisdom, having inherited their knowledge and practices through generations of their family lineage. Their work is deeply intertwined with the spiritual and natural world, focusing on harmony, balance, and healing.

Shamanism in the Andes is a profound practice that integrates a deep respect for nature with spiritual and ritualistic elements. Paqos perform ceremonies that connect individuals to the energies of the earth and the cosmos, aiming to restore balance and promote well-being. These ceremonies often involve offerings, prayers, and rituals that honor the sacred forces of the natural world and ancestral spirits.

Throughout our time with the Paqos, we will learn about their personal stories and the rich traditions they uphold. We will take part in various ceremonies designed to facilitate healing, personal growth, and spiritual insight. These experiences will offer us a rare glimpse into the sacred practices that have been a vital part of Andean culture for centuries. Engaging with the Paqos will not only deepen our understanding of their spiritual heritage but also provide us with a transformative experience rooted in ancient wisdom.
