Nicole Marchan,Trip Leader
Accomplished climber, Galapagos guide, herbalist, and mother, Nicole Marchan was born and raised in the Andes where she lived with her family in Quito.
Nicole has a deep respect and knowledge of Andean nature, people and traditional ways. She studied Biology (BSc, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Quito, EC) and for many years works with indigenous people in different sustainable projects. Her love for outdoors brought her to the world of climbing and other adventures sports. She earned a diploma in Adventure Tourism and Outdoor Education at Thomson River University in Canada.
She also teaches yoga and studies the magical healing properties of herbs. Nicole is part of Nahual Expediciones, a family owned outdoor education school that teaches young people about sustainable living ways and outdoor activities. She has also taught and worked with Kroka Expeditions located in New Hampshire for many years. Nicole lives with her partner Mathias Dammer and their homeschooled daughter Ayra in their newly hand-sculpted home on Palugo Farm.
