Charlie Boswell, Trip Leader and Administration Team

Charlie Boswell graduated from The University of New Hampshire in 1993, with a B.A. in English. He has taught high school English, ESL, sculpture, and 5th grade. From 1996-2015, he taught a dynamic 5th grade curriculum grounded in thematic, hands–on projects, integrated rope course instruction, hiking, orienteering, rafting, and camping trips. Adventure-based learning has been a keystone in Charlie’s teaching practice and an expression of his interest in exploring local and foreign landscapes and supporting others in the same journey. Charlie has cycled throughout Norway and Sweden, motorcycled from Vermont to Alaska, and hiked and cross-country skied throughout Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire. His foreign travel experience includes cycling trips in Canada, Finland, France, and Ireland. Charlie is a member of The National Ski Patrol and a Nationally Registered Advanced EMT. Beginning in the summer of 2015, he will be collaborating with Gogi Abroad as a trip leader, working as an AEMT, and earning his certification as a paramedic. Charlie lives in Putney, VT with his wife, son, and golden retriever.p1000349
